Every member of our team plays a role in turning excess into access and strengthening the communities we serve.
Our Team
Eason Chen
Co-Founder
Eason, a student at Jericho Senior High School, co-founded re:Serve after seeing how much perfectly good food is wasted while people in his community struggle to access it. Motivated by the belief that the problem isn’t scarcity but distribution, he works to turn surplus into access through local partnerships and volunteer-driven action.
Edwin Chen
Co-Founder
Edwin co-founded re:Serve with the goal of reducing food waste and expanding access to nutritious food for communities in need. He provides leadership in strategic partnerships, volunteer coordination, and program development, working closely with Eason to transform surplus food into meaningful impact every day.
Brian Chen
Communications & Media Lead
Brian handles Re:Serve’s communications and media. He manages our social media, shares updates on our work, and helps tell the story of what we’re doing and why it matters. His role is to keep our messaging clear, consistent, and honest as we grow.
Eugene Kim
Head of Volunteers
Eugene coordinates, trains, and supports volunteers to ensure surplus food is efficiently redistributed to communities in need. He also works to build a positive, organized volunteer experience that strengthens re:Serve’s impact in reducing food insecurity.
